This Islamic bronze bucket is an exceptional example of the great art skills developed by the Islamic society during the two-hundred year Seljuq reign. This period of time is known as the classical period or the golden age of Islamic art. New decorative and innovative motifs replaced the more formalized and stylized old ones, as an answer to the urge of realism. Anthropomorphic and zoomorphic elements (hastae) made also their appearance on metal vessels, which were often made in the form of animals too. - (JB.1244)
