Century the mortar of cylindrical form with
flattened
rim and flared foot, two triangular handles,
triangular bosses and incised geometrical
pattern
on the whole body as decoration, the pestle of
flaring elongated form with ribbed handle and
bulbous finial.
1183. Mortar and pestle, cast bronze. Cylindrical
body resting on a flat base; the body is decorated
with six elongated almost-shaped elements and
is
provided with two small handles. A pestle is
attached.
Iran or Central Asia, 10th – 11th century.
