Turquoise-glazed globular jug with tall everted mouth and slightly bent strap handle, the glaze terminating almost half way into the body. On the rim and handle black stroke lines painted underglaze, in a manner reminiscent of early 13th century Afghan underglaze painted ware. On the surface, large areas are covered by golden speckles enhancing dramatically the luminosity of the vessel. - (LO.996)
