Description
This elegant slightly rounded vessel with a tall flared neck is decorated in relief by three groups of three clustered bosses. Three hollow legs that contain rattles support the vessel. Most strikingly, the legs are in the form of tapir heads, the modeling of which is quite remarkable. The ears are appliqu├ęd, the eyes and the sides of the mouth are holes, and the charming incised, slightly out-turned snouts provide the footrests - (PF.3677)
