| Description |
When the fall of Rome had plunged Europe into
darkness, a world of culture and light flourished
under Islam in the East. This charming vessel, a
product of that age, was perhaps made to
contain a perfume as delicate as its colored glass
bottle. If we close our eyes, we can perhaps
detect its melancholy scent, the fragrance of
vanished roses blooming in a moonlit garden.
