The tazza posing on a plate was possibly
created
by the workshop of Fritz Heckert, a Bohemian
glass enameller, actively
operating between the years 1866-1890, who
founded and established the Petersdorf glass
workshop in
1866. His production consisted mainly of
German, Indian and Persian inspired
enamelled
glass artefacts.
His son-in-law ran the glass works from 1890,
and then his son from 1910. After 1898, the
firm
produced Jugendstil inspired decorations and
shapes. They also produced objects decorated
by
silver overlay on glass.
