It hardly seems to matter when this primal yet
charming image was created; for she is as
timeless as all mankind. With her attitude of
fecund abundnace, she is the sister of the
Neolithic earth-mothers, of the bronze-age
astartes, and of all other fertile female deities.
Her presence in an ancient Mexican tomb would
have served as a joyful reminder of the continuity
of life.
