Description |
The dynamic expression on the face of this
terracotta male head belies its small size. With
wide-open eyes, this honorable gentleman
stares out at the world, his age-old wisdom
immediately apparent to our discerning eye.
Surely his sculpted body, now lost thorough
time, was as esteemed in appearance as his
classic face. Though his function in antiquity
may be unclear, what is known for certain is the
enjoyment we experience when we behold his
spirited face.
