Description |
Originally, this mysterious animal had wheels attached, and was offered as a votive to appease the ancient gods of Palestine. Though its exact species cannot easily be determined, there is no mistaking the power in its build and the proud carriage of its head. Surely the deities who received it as a gift could not have failed to be pleased, seeing in its abstract form the most noble of beasts.
