Description
Graceful as an abstract bird, this little vessel intrigues us with its ancient function. Perhaps it held pure attar, the essence of some flower's fragrance, that was mixed drop by drop with other ingredients to create some unique perfume. Perhaps it held medicine too potent to be measured except in small doses. Its ancient contents have long since vanished, but time has compensated the vessel with a glorious shimmering patina. As we hold it in our hands today, we are aware of the aura of something rare and precious, much as its ancient owner must have been. - (GF.0274)
