Description

Persian set of six glazed tiles of the Qajar period with courtship scene between a young couple taking place on the countryside. The man is playing the oud while the woman is raising her cup and toasting towards him; between them plates and bowls with comestibles. The tiles are encompassed within a wooden frame, dimensions 25.5" x 18". - (MS.1898)
