Description |
When we hold this elegant little frit
(or faience) vessel in our hands we
cannot help but wonder who might have
held it just so centuries ago, and
raised it to their lips to drink. Surely
that long-vanished individual would have
stopped to admire the purity of its
form, the flower-like shape. For a
moment, we are linked directly to that
unknown person who lived during Egypt's
Golden Age.
