The pedestal bowl is apiece common to this region as is the beautiful magenta color that highlights and compliments the piece. Within the center of the bowl a zoomorphic design has been created which is combined with other geometric and abstract designs. The wide central part of the bowl is the only part that has been decorated, while the rest of the piece maintains the simplicity of the earthenware, complimenting the wide range of hues within the bowl. As a whole, the bowl functions well both as a show piece and as a vital part of a ceremony, but most importantly as a working piece of art. - (PF.4196)
